How to Play Matatu

Learn the rules and strategies for Matatu classic mode, including how to use special cards and win the game.

1. Get Ready

Each player is given 7 cards, and a cutter is placed at the bottom of the deck.

2. Playing Cards

Match the suit or rank of the current card on the table or pick from deck. Watch out for special cards.

3. Understanding Two's

When a 2 is played, the next player must either draw two cards from the deck or play another 2 to pass the penalty to the next player.

4. Jay's and Eight's

Skipper cards allow the player to play again after they've played.

5. Using Aces

Aces can be used to request a specific suit to be played on the table, as long as the player is not required to pick up 2s.

6. Chopping with Sevens

Chopping must be done with cards in hand valued below 30 points. To chop the game, you must play a 7 that matches the suit of the card placed below the deck.

7. How to Win

Be the first to play all your cards to win! Stay alert and outsmart your opponents.
